Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you shop with us or use this site, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights. We are the controller of your information.

• When you order: your name, delivery and billing addresses, email address, phone number, what you ordered and how you paid. Card details are taken by Stripe; we never see them in full.
• Your account: your login, your order history, your saved addresses and your loyalty points.
• When you contact us: your name, email, any order number, and what you tell us.
• Newsletters and stock alerts: your email address, and what you asked to hear about.
• Using the site: what is in your basket, what you search for on our site, and — only if you allow it in your cookie choices — how you use the site and how you found us. See our Cookie Policy.

• To take, deliver and support your order, including returns and faults — necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To run your account and loyalty points — necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To keep records for tax and accounting — a legal obligation.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure — our legitimate interests, and yours.
• To answer your questions — our legitimate interests in helping you.
• To send marketing emails — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To understand how the site is used and to advertise — your consent, through your cookie choices.

We share only what each needs to do its job, and each is bound to protect it:

• Stripe — card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay and Link payments, and fraud checks.
• Clearpay — if you choose to pay with Clearpay.
• Our warehouse and couriers — your name, address and contact details, to deliver your order.
• Suppliers who ship direct — for some items, the supplier sends your parcel, and receives your name and delivery address to do so.
• ePos Now — our shop till system, which holds your loyalty points balance.
• Brevo — sends our emails, including newsletters if you subscribe.
• Ideal Postcodes — looks up your address from your postcode at checkout.
• Our website hosting and IT providers — who run the servers the site is on.
• Nerdworks, our sister shop — shares your loyalty points balance through the till system.
• Authorities — where the law requires it, such as HMRC or the police.

Some of these services may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure it is protected by UK-approved safeguards, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

• Orders and invoices: 6 years after the end of the financial year they fall in, as tax law requires.
• Your account: while it is open; you can ask us to close it at any time, and we keep only what the law requires.
• Messages to us: up to 2 years after we last hear from you.
• Marketing: until you unsubscribe; we then keep your email on a do-not-contact list so we never email you again.
• Cookie choices: the record of your choice for 24 months.

You have the right to:

• see the information we hold about you, and have a copy;
• have it corrected if it is wrong;
• have it deleted, unless we must keep it by law;
• restrict or object to how we use it, including objecting to marketing at any time;
• have it transferred to you or another company, where you gave it to us;
• withdraw your consent, where we rely on it — this does not affect what we did before.

To use any of these, email shopping@paragongaming.co.uk. We reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk — but please talk to us first.

The site runs over an encrypted connection, payments are handled by Stripe and Clearpay, and access to your information is limited to the people and services who need it.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
